frantic weaving and knitting

The loom is threaded 54" wide and will weave to 124". I'm around 90" at this point. The set is 20 and I'm using both 8/2 and Eight-Two. Do these colors look familiar? He saw my table cloth and wanted the same colors. The stripe pattern is different, thankfully.
I'm fortunate that the treadles lock so I can run to one end or the other to catch the shuttle. It's part of the exercise regime, you know.

Here is a photo of nine of the 11 pair I've knit so far. One pair Bob got early because I forgot our anniversary. He forgot too.
The other pair is still on the needles. So I suppose they're not really a pair yet.
It is a pity when the cat is larger than the dog.

I've seen sliding benches that serve this very purpose. But running does provide much needed exercise........ I cannot imagine weaving so wide.
One of my very favorite memories of weaving at Alden & Stephenie's is doing tandem on a wide loom. Maybe you could train the cat?
Peg, I have a sliding bench. I've found that though it does work it can throw my back out. Standing and running just hurts my feet.
Sylvia, I think you ought to fly out here and make that memory with me too.
Marie, that's absolutely breathtaking! I love your tablecloth and can see why he would ask for the same. I'm cracking up imagining you running back and forth :-)
Wow, I'm impressed! The table cloth is lovely but I can't imagine weaving anything as wide as that.
My shoulders ache just looking at that picture. It's gorgeous - you are a machine, woman.
Okay, that's just too wide. I would lose my mind (and some weight) if I had to work on that. My luck I would accidentally weave a cat into the thing. The intended recipient would hear faint meowing coming out of the box.
Holy frijoles! First -- that is gorgeous. Second -- what a phenomenal width. I'm entranced with just looking at the temple!
I believe I speak for our fellow denizens of the blogisphere when I say, "I think we need you to post a video of you running back and forth. . . " tee hee
Weave on -- er...run on!!
