Funny Farm

A fearsome foray into my fiber follies. I talk about weaving, knitting, spinning and dyeing. Some chatter about the sheep, goats, pigs and chickens.

McGregor, My Dawg

My dawg, my trusty companion died peacefully yesterday afternoon. He rallied two weeks ago but decided his time had come. I will miss him desperately.
Greg followed me everywhere and was often underfoot. But he loved me and I him. He was my bud.

Oh Marie, I am so sorry. He looks just like my Jaye. They are good companions. I still miss my Mirk who left in 2002! Rest in peace, McGregor.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Marie.
It seems such an imbalance that the lives of our pets are so short in comparison to our own.

Oh, I'm so very sorry to hear fo your loss!
May the memory of the love and joy he brought to your life give you comfort and peace as you remember him. (oh dear... that sounds like a Hallmark card... but I do mean it)

Oh, no, no, no... I was looking forward to seeing him next week. What a wonderful dog he was. And Peggy Sue and Biffy would have loved him, too.

Hugs.... We'll drink a dram to his memory when I see you.

I, the chatterbox, am wordless. The loss of our best friend is something we know is inevitable and also terrible. We moved out here without pets, after losing our three dogs, and now we have three more. We swore we wouldn't do it again because it is so wrenching. What a beautiful friend you had - I am so truly sorry.

Greg was absolutely the best. I remember times sitting at your kitchen table when he would come over and lie on my feet, then look up at me with those soulful eyes. It was hard to ask him to move even when my feet started going to sleep.

So many good memories of McGregor and the farm in MD. Truly he was special.

Marie, I'm so sorry for your loss! I'll always treasure the times at the farm with you in the kitchen and in trots McGregor putting his head on my boob, looking at me with such a soulful look in his eyes. Joker and Chaos sends their love to you.

Oh gosh, Marie, I'm so sorry (and I'm crying, too). He was a great dog (and a member of my clan). I'll miss seeing him when I visit. Wah...:-((((

Marie,
I know just how you feel after recently losing my Taz after 13 years. They do become part of us and can read our moods and make us feel better. He was a dear and I'll miss him too. Your little dog has big paws to fill!
